Overview

The Digital Marketing Manager (Paid Media) is a fast-thinking and -acting team player, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and campaigns across channels, while simultaneously adjusting on the fly to improve results.

The successful candidate will have a B2B background and strategic skillset, able to work collaboratively with the Senior Director of Digital Marketing to plan, manage, optimize, and report on a roadmap of activities custom-selected to deliver on monthly and annual lead gen goals.

This role’s key function is to maximize new customer acquisition through WWW, demand gen, paid social and digital media/PPC, retargeting email marketing programs, and more. Candidates should have a strong background in paid media, at both a strategic and tactical level and pro level skills in Google Adwords, Bing Ads, Facebook & LinkedIn Advertising, and tools including Marketo, Salesforce, and Google Analytics, Moz, SEMRush, ScreamingFrog, etc.

Success will be measured by marketing performance metrics like page rankings, quality backlinks, site traffic, email opens, CTR, CPC, CPL, and more, as well as sales and business performance metrics like MQLs, SQLs, opportunities, and won business.

The candidate will work cross-functionally with content, design, ops, and other key stakeholders, leveraging technology to strategize, build, and execute cross-channel demand generation, affiliate/influencer, partner/reseller, and brand campaigns for both Ruby receptionist and chat services.

What You’ll Be Accountable For

  1. Use iterative, highly-instrumented, personalized digital marketing strategies to maximize customer acquisition through optimization of every touchpoint of the buyer journey—deliver on sales goals while improving CAC.
  2. Take a leading role in multiple marketing programs, including integrated, cross-channel digital campaigns that span WWW, paid media, social, email marketing, live and recorded events, and more.
  3. Perform research, audits, and competitive analyses and make recommendations, leveraging tools like Moz, SEMRush, ScreamingFrog, and more.
  4. Manage the development and execution of paid digital campaigns, taking a conservative approach to testing new strategies, messaging, creative, and CTAs to contain CPC and CPL, while identifying the optimal mix and investment level, adjusting bids as needed.
  5. Develop digital strategies to operationalize Ruby’s new influencer/affiliate program, support the proliferation of Ruby via its new channel/reseller program, and maximize Ruby’s reach through professional/business organizations in which our customers participate.
  6. Continually assess and report on campaign and program performance, determine why programs succeed or fail, identify optimization tests, growth opportunities, and pursue investment areas to drive results.
  7. Continually evaluate progress toward lead gen goals, adjusting levers as necessary to drive inbound while maintaining lead quality. Get hands on in Marketo, Salesforce, GA to understand and act on the data, implementing campaigns in Google Adwords, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more.

 Your Background

  • 5+ years of experience in a paid media role with eCommerce, B2C, or digital agency experience strongly preferred. SaaS to SMB experience preferred.
  • Strong experience and expertise in paid media/digital marketing, including email, database marketing, search marketing (PPC), online advertising and more.
  • Proven record of successful campaign development and management across multiple channels and mediums.
  • Experience in the effective use of technologies and tools to market, measure, and drive results, including Google Analytics, AdRoll, Wordpress, Marketo, SEMRush, etc.
  • Must have a strong analytical and quantitative skill set combined with a strength to analyze data, interpret and translate results to produce actionable changes.
  • Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Proven track record collaborating with internal parties and external agencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
