Job Description

Our Social Publishing team is growing quickly and we have several openings for digital media buyers familiar with Google and Facebook ads. 

One of our leading owned and operated websites, Howstuffworks.com, has been incredibly successful at hosting engaging trivia content. Our social buyers work hard to drive traffic to this content, but we are beginning several new intiatives to better target our audiences and scale our business in line with our expected growth. 

This is a great opportunity for experienced buyers to own a large book of business and develop strategy alongside a dedicated content production and BI team. You will have direct access to the necessary data to make evidence-based strategy decisions and reach new audiences. And you'll have the freedom to experiment, test, and develop new avenues to drive traffic. 

Job Requirements

The Role You Will Have: 

  • Manage a portfolio of performance marketing campaigns across paid social channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and Pinterest
  • Conduct hands-on bid optimization; develop and implement strategies for targeting, creatie, and funnel optimization to meet and exceed volume and ROI Targets
  • Work with the creative and content team to develop creative assets and content, and drive the creative testing roadmap
  • Communicate A/B test results and recommendations form programs with team and senior leadership 
  • Prioritize growth marketing strategy based on revenue potential 
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and leverage emerging capabilities in the digital landscape 

 

What You Will Bring: 

  • 1-3 years experience driving growth and acquisitions via social channels
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a high attention to detail 
  • Strong understanding of the social media advertising ecosystems 
  • Ability to think creatively and outside of the box to write compelling and engaging ad copies/content 
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital media planning 
  • Creative problem solver with a balance of strategic thinking and detailed execution
  • Exceptionally-detailed knowledge of metrics, specifically A/B, multi-variant testing and ROI Analysis 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to work well independently as well as part of a cohesive, high performing team 
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Self-starter mentality with drive to succeed 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to drive and support process improvements for the paid social team 
  • Proficiency in Excel is a must 
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred (e.g. economics, statistics)
