The Director of Product Marketing/NPI will partner with product management and is responsible for developing and executing global marketing strategies across the business product portfolio. This individual will manage the commercialization of existing and new product introduction (NPI) programs, including go-to-market strategies, tradeshow presence, product launches, collateral development and maintenance, sales training and website configurator tools, etc.

Your responsibilities

  • Creating, executing, and measuring a proactive strategic marketing branding and promotion program, which will highlight ABB products in the marketplace
  • Employing existing and developing new tools to obtain maximum results within budget constraints
  • Ensuring consistent positioning and messaging of product and brand values across all mediums
  • Maintaining a current assessment of products’ market / place perception vs. desired perception with respect to branding strategies, competing products and brand value
  • Leveraging global Communications to ensure the branding and promotion strategies, are supported

Job Requirements

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in marketing, marketing communications and experience in all aspects of the development of product marcom branding and promotion strategies
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in marketing, marketing communications and experience in all aspects of the development of product marcom branding and promotion strategies
  • Exposure to marketing including advertising, sales promotion, media relations, and the marketing for high tech products. Telecommunications, (particularly wireless and cable industry) preferred; embedded technologies experience a bonus.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand how customers consume information and ability meet them where they are with break-through strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and leadership skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Capable of critical thinking, decision making, and creative problem solving
